The rules

Short version: be decent, post your own stuff, and don't use your site to hurt anyone. Last updated October 2026.

Who can have a site

You need to be 13 or older. One free site per person. If you're under 18, don't post your full name, your school, your address or anything else that tells a stranger where to find you.

What's not allowed

We can hide a note, a guestbook entry or a whole site that breaks these rules, and we can close an account that keeps breaking them. Anyone can press Report on a site; reports come to us, not to the site's owner.

Your stuff

What you post stays yours. You let us show it on your site and in places like the Today page and the neighborhoods (you can switch those off under My site). You can download your notes and guestbook any time from Your place, and delete your site whenever you want by writing to us.

What we keep about you

Your email address and password (stored scrambled), what you post, and the photos you upload. To slow down spam, we keep a scrambled code made from the network address of anyone who signs a guestbook or reports something; we can't turn it back into the address. We don't sell anything about you, we don't show ads, and we don't add trackers. (A song or video someone adds to their site comes from that service, like Spotify or YouTube.)

The honest part

NoReasonWeb is run by a small team. We back things up and do our best to keep sites online, but we can't promise nothing will ever go wrong, so keep copies of anything precious. If we ever shut down, we'll give you at least 60 days and a way to download everything.
